An 18-year-old girl has been forced to marry a dog in a remote village in eastern India.
Mangli Munda was told by her parents that she possessed bad luck and ordered to marry the canine to protect her from evil spells.
LAVISH CEREMONY
The dog, named Sheru, was brought to the lavish ceremony in a chauffeur-driven car and married to the girl in front of 70 guests, reports Mirror.co.uk.
Mangil said: "I am marrying a dog because the village elders believe that my evil spell will be passed on to the dog.
"After that is done, the man I will marry will have a long life."
